Prime Maldives successfully conducted a Hydroponics Training Program in Malé, attracting an impressive 69 participants across two engaging sessions. The training is part of the company’s flagship CSR initiative, “Namoona Dhanduveriya”, which is dedicated to promoting sustainable and innovative farming methods throughout the Maldives.
The sessions were designed to go beyond theory, giving participants a hands-on experience in modern farming techniques. Participants learned key practices such as: Hydroponic farming fundamentals to maximize productivity with minimal environmental impact.
In addition to the basics of farming, the program introduced advanced farming techniques and integrated pest management strategies. This practical approach ensured that attendees not only understood modern agricultural concepts but could also apply them directly to their own farming projects.
The “Namoona Dhan’duveriyaa” program continues to expand its positive impact. To date, 872 farmers have been trained nationwide, empowering communities with modern knowledge and sustainable farming solutions. This initiative reflects Prime Maldives’ strong commitment to enhancing local food security, reducing environmental impacts, and uplifting the livelihoods of farmers.
