Prime Fertilizers Maldives Pvt. Ltd. has donated a set of advanced agricultural measurement instruments from Bluelab (New Zealand) to the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the development of the national agriculture sector.
The donation was officially received by Hon. Minister Dr. Mariyam Mariya during a ceremony held at the Ministry on 28th January 2026. The event was attended by State Minister Ahmed Hassan Didi along with other senior officials of the Ministry. Representing Prime Fertilizers Maldives were Managing Director Ahmed Shiyaz Ibrahim, Business Development Director Niyaz Ibrahim, and other senior members of the Prime team.
The donated Bluelab instruments are globally trusted precision tools widely used in hydroponics, protected agriculture, and modern horticulture systems. These instruments will support the Ministry’s technical teams in improving soil, nutrient, and crop monitoring across research, field assessments, and farmer support programs.

During the event, Minister Dr. Mariyam Mariya expressed her appreciation to Prime Fertilizers Maldives for the donation and acknowledged the company’s continued involvement and support in improving the farming sector and supporting Maldivian farmers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Managing Director Ahmed Shiyaz Ibrahim emphasized that the donation was intended to support the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to strengthen agriculture in the Maldives. He reiterated that Prime Fertilizers Maldives remains committed to working closely with the Ministry to support national agricultural development initiatives.
