Ministry of Fisheries Marines Resources and Agriculture has presented a commemorative plaque to Prime Fertilizers Maldives for the outstanding services to provide the agricultural inputs to farmers.
The plaque was handed over by H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during the ceremony held in K. Kaashidhoo to mark this year's Farmers Day and World Food Day. The award was recieved by the Managing Director of Prime Maldives Mr. Ahmed Shiyaz Ibrahim.
Mr Shiyaz started agricultural input supply business in 2007. In 2009 the first outlet was opened and since then the business has gained the trust of the Maldivian farmers. Currently Prime Fertilizers Maldives, running under the umbrella of Prime Maldives has the distributorship of many world leading fertilizer and seed brands. The company is also providing all the agricultural solutions including agricultural training and consultancy and pestcontrol services, in addition to the supply of inputs.
With the noble objective of helping to ensure food security in the Maldives, Prime Maldives started as a supplier of agricultural inputs. The operation that started with a 20-feet container of cow manure, has since grown and diversified to a supplier of a wide range of products to different markets.
