Prime Maldives Conducts Hydroponics and Small-Space Farming Training in Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi

Prime Maldives, in collaboration with the Kulhudhuffushi Women’s Development Committee and local partner Adman, successfully conducted a hands-on farming training program in Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi from 8th to 10th March 2025. The three-day program focused on hydroponics and innovative small-space farming methods designed to empower participants with sustainable cultivation skills suited for limited spaces.

A total of 20 enthusiastic participants took part in the training, which is part of Prime Maldives’ ongoing Namoona Dhanduveriya Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. The sessions emphasized efficient use of space, vertical farming techniques, and practical hydroponic systems tailored to the local context.

A participant expressed their appreciation, stating: “We have gained a lot of information and knowledge on farming. There are so many things we can improve. We are very thankful to Prime Maldives.”

With the successful completion of the Kulhudhuffushi training, the Namoona Dhanduveriya program has now trained a total of 823 individuals across the Maldives, promoting sustainable, innovative, and productive farming practices throughout the country.
