In a continued effort to foster sustainable practices and empower local communities, Prime Maldives has once again partnered with a local development committee, this time collaborating with the Hura Women's Development Committee. The two organizations recently conducted a successful home gardening training workshop in K.Hura from January 19th to 20th, 2024.
The training program, designed to impart knowledge on cultivating fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants at home, attracted the enthusiastic participation of 24 individuals from the community. The initiative is part of Prime Maldives' ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) project, "Namoona Dhan’duveriyaa," aimed at advancing farming and agriculture techniques in the Maldives. The interactive sessions covered various aspects of gardening, including soil preparation, seed planting, pest management, and sustainable gardening practices.
Commenting on the workshop, Ms. Nazeeha Mahir, President of the Hura Women's Development Committee, expressed her satisfaction with the initiative. "We are delighted to collaborate with Prime Maldives in bringing this valuable training to our community. The participants showed great enthusiasm, and we believe this knowledge will have a positive impact on their lives and the community as a whole."
Prime Maldives remains committed to promoting sustainable practices and community development through education and empowerment. The success of this recent training session further solidifies the organization's dedication to making a meaningful impact on local communities across the Maldives.
