In partnership with Gaafaru Women's Development Committee, Prime Maldives has conducted a home gardening training workshop in K.Gaafaru.
The training program conducted from 28th October to 30th October was aimed at creating awareness among the people who are intrested to grow fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants in their homes. The training program was conducted as part of the "Namoona Dhan'dunveriya" program intitated by Prime Maldives.
Commenting on the training program President of the WDC, Ms. Sofoora Abdul Ghafoor told that the training program surpassed their expectations and told that they are highly motivated after the training program. "we are looking forward to conduct a more advanced training program in near future" Sofoora told.
Prime Maldives "Namoona Dhan’duveriyaa” program is a CSR initiative of Prime Maldives to help advance the farming and agriculture techniques in the Maldives.
With the noble objective of helping to ensure food security in the Maldives, Prime Maldives started as a supplier of agricultural inputs. The operation that started with a 20-feet container of cow manure, has since grown and diversified to a supplier of a wide range of products to different markets.
