HIMOINSA, part of the Yanmar Group, is a global corporation that designs, manufactures and distributes power generation equipment, from diesel and gas generator sets, lighting towers and control panels, to hybrid generators and generator sets ready to be incorporated into solar power systems. Being a vertical manufacturer is HIMOINSA's main strength, as the company has the capability of producing all components of the genset: alternators, engines, canopies, control panels, automatic transfer switches and paralleling systems.

In 2020 Prime Maldives introduced HIMOINSA products to the Maldivian market and the products are available from the show room "Prime Power", located in Haveereehingun, Male'.
The event held last night was attended by senior officials from state owned enterprises and private companies. The chief guest of the event was Managing Director of Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Ltd, Mr. Ismail Fauzy. During his remarks Mr. Fauzy highlighted the importance of high quality power generation equipment. "Our fishing vessels need reliable good quality generators like HIMOINSA." Mr. Fauzy said.
Business Development Director of Prime Maldives Mr. Niyaz Ibrahim during is opening remarks emphasized that the quality and reliability of Himoinsa generators were personally tested before acquiring the distributorship of HIMOINSA brand. According to Mr Niyaz, HIMOINSA generators have been in use in the company’s own cargo vessel since 2012 and so far, the generators have been performing without any major issues.
Niyaz also highlighted that the HIMOINSA generators are being introduced to market with special modification from the factory, with sea water cooling system, to suit the Maldivian market. "Now you don’t have to worry about modifying the generator sets on your own and losing the warranty" said Niyaz.
Mr Daniel Crossan, General Manager of HIMOINSA Middle East and Mr. Qasim Abbas, Regional Sales Manager joined last nights event. Adressing the event, Mr. Daniel assured HIMOINSA's commitment to find the best solution for the customers through the company’s ability to customize the products to suit the customer needs.
