The Prime Maldives team visiting Hdh. Neykurendhoo has met with the Island Council members and Women's Development Committee members in an effort to expand the relation with the local community.
During the meeting it was discussed on the ways which Prime Maldives can engage with council and help the local farmers to increase their production. The Council president, Ali Siraj, highlighted the importance of training local farmers and making available the inputs for farming. He also highlighted the need for controlling the mosquitoes, while taking into account the risks involved in using chemical pesticides.
During the meeting Director Business Development of Prime Maldives, Niyaz Ibrahim, gave assurance to the Council members, that Prime Maldives will be providing all techincal support to Neykurendhoo Council, free of charge.
Prime Maldives is currently conducting training sessions to local farmers in Northern Atolls.
