Prime Maldives has decided to run training programs for farmers and home gardeners around Maldives. According to the Manager Sales and Marketing, Mohamed Zahid the training programs will be conducted in collaboration with local councils, Women Development Committees, Local NGOs and other relevant authorities in the islands.
Last month Prime Maldives has announced, the intention for conducting training programs, which was welcomed by thousands of farmers across the Maldives. “The support for the training programs that we have planned is overwhelming.” said Zahid.
The training programs will help the farmers to better understand the agricultural practices and safe use of pesticides and will be conducted free.
The training programs are scheduled to start in September 2021.
With the noble objective of helping to ensure food security in the Maldives, Prime Maldives started as a supplier of agricultural inputs. The operation that started with a 20-feet container of cow manure, has since grown and diversified to a supplier of a wide range of products to different markets.
